Karl Finkenbinder has been in real estate development and construction since 2003. Karl began his career working for a multi-family unit development and construction company in Dallas, Texas. In his role within that company, he saw the need for a comprehensive understanding of the legal realities that face developers and contractors. It spawned an interest in the legal side of development and construction for Karl.
Karl elected to attend law school in Kansas City, Missouri, and begin a legal career in real estate and construction law. For over 16 years, Karl owned and operated a successful law firm in Branson, Missouri, and practiced law in the fields of real estate development, construction law and litigated business disputes.
Prior to joining Lifestyle Contractor’s as its Chief Operating Officer, Karl had served as it’s general counsel for 15 years. Karl’s past involvement with the legal affairs of the company and his breadth of experience in development and construction, uniquely positioned him to handle the overall operations of Lifestyle Contractors.
Karl’s goals for Lifestyle are: first, to maintain its reputation as a premier developer/contractor in the Southwest Missouri region; second, to expand on the incredible growth of Lifestyle that its founder, Steve Redford, initiated; and third, to equip Lifestyle with the personnel, asset base and relationships to sustain its growth through a changing economy and construction landscape.
CFO
Chris Carlson is a dedicated, hard-working, and detail-oriented business and accounting professional with over 25 years of experience in various industries. She is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Lifestyle Contractors in Branson, MO. She started her career in Tulsa, OK as an office manager and accountant for an insurance company. After moving to Denver, CO she continued her career as the Corporate Controller for a medical device manufacturer and led that company to its acquisition by a large, publicly traded company. In her next role as the Corporate Controller for a contractor to the US Department of Defense, Chris managed the finances from a simple start-up company to its eventual acquisition by one of the largest and most prestigious government contractors in the country. She next became the Chief Financial Officer of a service company in the oil and gas industry. Her primary focus was strategic positioning for financial growth and stability in the very volatile energy industry. She also led in the development and acquisition of several companies in related industries that were either held or sold as part of her stability plan.
She enjoys the challenges presented in many business environments and excels at problem solving, team building, and operating analysis. She is fully knowledgeable on all aspects of business accounting with expertise in profit and loss, balance sheet, cashflow, and ratio analysis statements. She has excellent proficiency in the areas of operations, human resources, budgeting, banking, and risk management. Chris holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Management from Northeastern State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
She enjoys spending her free time outside doing just about anything. Her hobbies include raising cattle on the family farm, riding horses, training dogs, maintaining egg chickens, gardening, biking, hiking, and boating. She loves hanging out with her very busy family and the family farm is a constant revolving door for them all!
President of Construction
Steve has been in the construction field his entire adult life
starting in the remodeling and residential building business. He received “hands on” experience in all aspects of the
construction business. With over 25 years of experience in
project management, estimating and cost analysis he has
earned certification through Oklahoma State University in their
construction management program.
Steve’s skills include working through and resolving the
complex issues and challenges associated with development
projects plus abilities to build a high performance team to
ensure a project’s success.
His career encompasses working with owners, designers, architects, engineers and construction teams to complete
projects covering 12 states coast to coast.
Construction Manager
Jason Rikard’s highly professional construction management expertise is derived from a unique blend of comprehensive experience and education in building design review,
building inspection, building code analysis and construction
management of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. His career profile began as a Firefighter prior to progressing into building inspection, attaining a
supervisory
role in a municipal Building Department and finally
transitioning to the field of Construction Management. His building inspection background affords him the advantage of possessing thorough code knowledge encompassing architectural and structural de
sign and including all concepts of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as well as energy efficiency, green building and accessibility. As an ICC certified building inspector in multiple trades, Jason benefited from the abundant amount of experience gained as a Supervising Building Inspector in mu
nicipal jurisdictions. His extensive code knowledge lends well to ensuring the highest standards for building safety and quality control in the building industry.
Beginning with single family home construction management, Jason’s high aptitude for scheduling efficiency originated during his career as a Superintendent for a production home builder, where he operated under an aggressive construction schedule, managing the production of 160 completed housing units in 12 months. His construction management experience has been further complimented by multi-family, commercial and mixed-use building projects including numerous high profile mid-rise, mixed-use building projects. Jason managed the construction of, one of the first of it’s kind, all-wood podium buildings consisting of 2 stories of multi-family residential over heavy timber all-wood podium parking garage and retail. He has overseen multiple mid-rise construction projects involving 5 story wood multi-family residential over 2 stores of concrete podium parking garage and retail.
Directing numerous historical building renovations, he maintained the historical integrity of the building while implementing seismic retrofitting and fortification together with new construction expansion to create award winning retail/housing projects enhancing the viability of downtown neighborhoods, keeping the charm and history of the community in-tact.
Jason’s extensive credentials are backed by decades of practical application to the achievement of highly esteemed rapport in the field of construction management. He understands that every construction project regardless of size and complexity is equally important to those commissioning them. Jason utilizes the most advanced technology and applications, availing the most expeditious building schedules in order to optimize construction budgets. His combined knowledge and experience delivers cost effective, timely and successful building projects with lasting quality that is a compliment and benefit to the whole community.
Cheif Engineer
Michael Stalzer, P.E. has been in real estate development and construction since 1987. Michael began
his career working for a residential contractor in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. After several years within
that role, he moved into a position as an engineer working in the design side of land development. This
led to Michael relocating to Springfield, Missouri in 1997 to work for a local Civil Engineering Firm.
Prior to joining Lifestyle Contractor’s as its Director of Engineering, Michael worked as a consultant in
Southwest Missouri for 26 years. In fact, Michael has had a working relationship with the founder and
key personnel of Lifestyle Contractors for over twenty years. This past involvement, and Michael’s
diverse experience in the area as a consultant made him well positioned to manage the engineering and
related services for Lifestyle.
It is Michael’s objective to assist the company and staff to sustain its growth through a changing
economy and construction landscape.
